Job summary

Barnes & Noble College in Massachusetts is seeking a Campus Retail Associate to deliver superior customer service and support campus stores in all facets of retail operations to ensure optimal performance.

You will greet customers, process transactions, assist with cash handling and financial aid payments, keep the store organized, and participate in development programs and scheduling that reflect campus life.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
• Outstanding attitude with the willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexible availability throughout the academic year including peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Provide a friendly atmosphere by greeting customers and focusing on their positive experience.
• Support store operations including operating equipment and cash register while ensuring speed of service and accurate transactions.
• Keep the store looking fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space within the store.
• Part-time positions require availability to work weekly year round; schedules may vary to meet store needs.
• Routine housekeeping such as dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, and trash removal.
