Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Campus Retail Associate to provide superior customer service and assist store leaders with retail operations to keep the store performing at its best.

You will greet customers, process transactions, and help maintain a welcoming store environment while supporting operations and housekeeping tasks. Flexible scheduling and daily Pay options are among the perks of this role.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be confident engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience (≤140 chars).
• Excellent communication and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced team environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexible availability throughout the academic year, including peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Greet customers and support a positive experience throughout their visit.
• Support store operations, run equipment and cash register with speed and accuracy.
• Keep the store tidy by shelving, arranging, and cleaning product spaces.
• Temporary positions require availability for 90 days or less, occasional weekends, and varied shifts.
• Perform routine housekeeping: dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, trash removal.
