Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Campus Retail Associate to join our on-campus team. You will deliver exceptional customer service, assist with sales, and support store operations including POS use, stocking, and housekeeping.

Flexible scheduling is available to align with the academic calendar. The role emphasizes greeting customers, maintaining a welcoming store environment, and contributing to a positive campus shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 16 years to be considered for employment.
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
• Outstanding attitude with willingness to learn and excel in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexible availability throughout the academic year including peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Provide a friendly atmosphere by greeting customers and focusing on their positive experience.
• Support store operations including operating equipment and cash register while ensuring speed of service and accurate transactions.
• Keep the store looking fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space within the store.
• Temporary positions require availability to work on a weekly basis for up to 90 days with occasional weekends and flexible scheduling for opening, midday, or closing shifts.
• Routine housekeeping including dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, and trash removal.
