Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Campus Retail Associate to deliver excellent customer service and support daily store operations. You will assist with sales, greet customers, and help maintain a welcoming shopping environment on campus.

This role offers flexible scheduling, an employee discount, and opportunities for development through our Management Development Program. Suitable for part-time or seasonal campus staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
• An outstanding attitude with the willingness to learn and the capability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexible availability throughout the academic year including peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Greet customers and foster a friendly, positive shopping experience.
• Support store operations including operating equipment and cash register with speed and accuracy.
• Keep the store looking fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space.
• Temporary positions require availability for a 90‑day period with occasional weekends and varied shifts.
• Perform routine housekeeping such as dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, and trash removal.
