Job summary

Florida Gulf Coast University is seeking a Residential Advisor (RA) to foster a positive on-campus living experience within Housing & Residence Life. You will build community through one-to-one conversations and large events, guiding residents with the FGCU curriculum in CONNECT, ENGAGE, BALANCE, and IMPACT.

Qualifications

• Current FGCU student enrolled through the appointment.
• Maintain good conduct with the university.
• GPA of 2.50 or higher is required.
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
• Available for on-call duties, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Builds community and mediates conflicts with residents.
• Participates in and attends university functions.
• Assists residents with understanding policies and procedures.
• Aids with evacuation and shelter management during incidents.
• Provides front desk coverage and completes 20 hours per week on assigned tasks.
• Offers emergency/crisis intervention and reports facility issues.
