Job summary

Northwestern Mutual Houston is seeking a Campus Recruiter to lead campus recruiting efforts, build networks with students, faculty, and staff, and drive intern contracts and conversions. The role focuses on sourcing, interviewing, and guiding candidates through a structured selection process in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a results-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–3 years professional work experience, preferably in sales, recruiting, or related field.
• Experience in the financial services industry a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work professionally as a team member at all levels.
• Experience with prospecting and generating leads via telephone or face-to-face interactions preferred.
• Strong network of personal/professional advocates and campus relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ATS or recruiting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop effective referral sources in office and on campus.
• Actively participate in campus clubs and organizations to promote Northwestern Mutual.
• Coordinate advertising and marketing strategies on campus and attract candidates.
• Develop relationships with other recruiters to share leads and best practices.
• Prepare and maintain recruiting and marketing materials.
• Schedule and coordinate on-campus recruiting activities.
• Screen candidates and conduct initial interviews.
• Communicate clearly about the career and the selection process.
• Maintain candidate databases and reporting; support leadership meetings.
