Job summary

Motlow State Community College in Murfreesboro, TN is accepting applications for a Campus Police Officer. Under the supervision of the Director of Public Safety, you will patrol campus areas, investigate crimes, protect property, and ensure the safety of students and staff.

Minimum qualifications include Tennessee POST certification, US citizenship, 21+ years, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and 5+ years as a POST-certified officer.

Qualifications

• Certified Police Officer per TCA and POST, with certification maintained.
• Must be a Tennessee POST certified officer and maintain certification.
• 21+ years old and a US citizen.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• No felony or serious offenses; clean background check.
• Valid Tennessee Operator License required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus areas to ensure safety and security.
• Investigate crimes, prepare reports, and testify when needed.
• Direct traffic and enforce parking and traffic laws.
• Maintain POST certification through annual training.
