Motlow State Community College is accepting applications for a Campus Police Officer. The position, located at the TCAT Murfreesboro campus, offers a salary of $47,000 to $50,000 per year.

Under the Director of Public Safety, you will safeguard property, people, and ensure safety through proactive law enforcement. Minimum qualifications include POST certification, US citizenship, 21+ years old, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Formación

• Certified Police Officer per TCA 38-8-107 and POST certification required.
• Must maintain Tennessee POST certification throughout employment.
• Must be a US citizen, 21 years or older, high school graduate or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Patrol campus areas.
• Direct, monitor, and control pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
• Enforce traffic and parking violations as necessary.
• Investigate suspected crimes, report findings and arrest suspects.
• Investigate motor vehicle accidents and determine probable cause.
• Prepare reports, case files, and provide testimony in court or legal proceedings.
• Operate and maintain all assigned law enforcement equipment.
• Maintain POST certification by completing required annual in-service training.
• Meet local bonding, arrest authority and weapons-use requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
