Oklahoma City University is seeking a Police Dispatcher to handle incoming calls, dispatch officers, and maintain communications records to support campus safety.

The role requires prior dispatching experience in police or campus law enforcement, strong English communications, and the ability to operate radios and complex phone systems. A background check, OLETS certification, and internal dispatch training are required, with shifts including nights and weekends.

Formación

• Two years of dispatching experience in police or campus law enforcement.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Must successfully obtain and maintain OLETS certification.
• Must complete internal police dispatch training.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate an attitude and behavior that reflects the values and mission of the department and University.
• Initiate outgoing and receive incoming telephone communications for the department.
• Orally communicate campus regulations, rules and policies to the campus community and visitors.
• Transmit and receive information from Police personnel via two-way radios.
• Maintain records of all communications to and from Police personnel regarding incidents and field activity.
• Maintain and tally officers' activity during a shift.
• Oversee checking in and out of equipment and maintain inventory records.
• Provide administrative support, including data entry and reporting.
