Richard Bland College seeks a Police Officer to maintain a safe campus environment and provide emergency response throughout the College's jurisdiction. The officer conducts patrols, responds to calls, investigates incidents, enforces laws and College policies, and prepares detailed reports.

Required: high school diploma or GED, Virginia driver’s license, US citizenship, and DCJS certification, with pass(es) of extensive screening processes.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years old.
• Must hold DCJS police officer certification and a Virginia driver's license.
• Pass a multi-phase background, MMPI, polygraph, and medical screening.

Responsabilités

• Patrol campus buildings, grounds and parking to ensure safety and security.
• Respond to calls for service and emergencies and provide EMS support within training scope.
• Investigate incidents, enforce state laws and College policies.
• Prepare reports and maintain records accurately.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement as needed.
