Qualifications

• A valid high school diploma or GED is required.
• Georgia POST certification in Basic Law Enforcement is required and the candidate must be in good standing with POST.
• Some professional police officer experience is required;Correctional Officer certification does not qualify; resubmission of POST is required if already submitted.

Responsibilities

• Enforce federal, state, and local laws to protect life and property on Mercer University campus.
• Respond to calls for service; prevent and investigate crimes; maintain public order; assist campus community.
• Interact with supervisors, co-workers, Mercer employees, students, and the public to uphold safety and security.
