Job summary

Mercer University’s Police Department is seeking a Temporary Police Officer to serve on our residential undergraduate campus in Macon, GA. Officers are sworn and operate with full police powers within campus jurisdiction.

Responsibilities include enforcing laws, responding to calls, preventing crimes, and maintaining public order, with a community policing approach to ensure a safe campus environment for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and POST certification in Georgia.
• POST certification must be in Basic Law Enforcement.
• Some professional police officer experience is required.

Responsibilities
