Job summary

Wake Forest University is seeking a Police Officer to protect students, staff and visitors and to enforce North Carolina laws and university policies. The role includes patrolling campus, investigating incidents, responding to emergencies, and providing safety directions and assistance.

You will work rotating shifts, may respond to crises, and participate in community policing; must have a high school diploma and valid driver’s license, plus completion of BLET certification or ability to obtain

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record and be insurable.
• Must meet certification requirements to become a Law Enforcement Officer per NC standards (BLET).

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus property on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to protect lives and property.
• Investigate accidents, crimes and incidents; interview victims, witnesses and suspects and collect evidence.
• Respond to emergencies, provide medical aid, and enforce laws and university policies.
• Document activities and prepare written reports as required by policy.
