Job summary

North Carolina Central University (NCCU) is seeking qualified candidates for Police Officer I–III to patrol the campus, enforce laws, and protect students, staff, and visitors. The pool will be used to fill current and future vacancies across levels I–III based on qualifications.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, and certification from NC CJETSC with BLET training; valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) program preferred.
• Probationary CJETSC certification as a commissioned police officer and completion of the agency’s field training program.

Responsibilities

• Protect lives and property on campus and enforce applicable laws.
• Patrol university grounds, respond to calls, and file reports.
• Coordinate with the Field Operations Commander and support community policing initiatives.
