Job summary

Guilford College in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Plumber to install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems across campus facilities. The role requires hands-on expertise with boilers, pipes, and water treatment, and you will troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

You will work as part of the Facilities Division, perform preventative maintenance, document work orders, and collaborate with contractors while complying with local codes and safety rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• NC Certification as a Plumber required.
• Two years experience in plumbing or related trades.
• Valid NC driver’s license.
• Ability to work scheduled hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, test and repair plumbing systems and equipment in College buildings.
• Maintain records, order parts, and coordinate with contractors and other departments.
• Respond to emergencies and perform planned and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure work complies with US Plumbing Code and local regulations.
• Operate tools safely and travel between campus sites as needed.
