Job summary

The University at Albany seeks a Campus Planner to develop long-range facility master plans and translate data into project scopes. You will work closely with the DASM team to bridge data and project management, shaping space usage and program requirements.

Reporting to the Planning, Design, and Construction (PDC) group, you will lead planning studies, verify program details, and ensure alignment with institutional goals and sustainability mandates while engaging with university leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in architecture, urban planning, or fields related to planning and design.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage planning studies and projects that support university-wide physical development and long-term campus vision.
• Inform planning decisions using space utilization, enrollment trends, and demographic data; translate needs into data-driven space and functional programs.
• Develop scope, procure consultative services, and lead studies including Facility Master Plan and Historic Preservation Plan; align plans with campus goals.
