Job Summary

Reports directly to the Manager of Campus Security and promotes and maintains safety at the University by supporting the efforts of Campus Security Officers and local Public Safety Departments. This position is the first point of contact when dealing with people, managing visitors, and welcoming students and employees. The Campus Parking Services Coordinator will act as the visitor liaison. This position also serves as the primary administrative support for campus parking operations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of:
  • Working knowledge of campus policies.
  • Working knowledge of parking operations, customer service processes, or related administrative workflows preferred.
Skill:
  • Computer skills, specifically the ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and other required software programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; abilities must include effectively communicating with WesternU students, administration, faculty, staff, visitors, and outside contacts.
  • Excellent customer service skills with special capabilities in working with all internal WesternU members and external members of the community.
Ability to:
  • Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of administrative, clerical, customer-service, or operations support work.
  • Experience delivering services to the public.
  • Experience working with parking databases, ticketing systems, or inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the liaison between the Security Department and Parking Enforcement. Performs daily patrols using the golf cart to monitor the parking in various lots.

  • Ensure Student/Employee compliance with all approved campus parking policies.

  • Administer Student, Employee, and Visitor parking permits, including issuance, tracking, troubleshooting, and reconciliation within parking systems.
