Job summary

Reimagined Parking Inc. seeks a Parking Enforcement Officer at Montclair State University. This part‑time role covers a 9am–3pm shift, Monday through Thursday, patrolling university lots to enforce parking rules and issue citations as needed.

You will use a company vehicle and report to the Location Manager. A valid license and clean driving record are required, with background checks and DHS eligibility verification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Must pass a background check and be eligible to work in the United States (E‑Verify).

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas using a company vehicle (car or golf cart) observing parking violations.
• Enforce regulations by issuing warnings, citations, or arranging towing as needed.
• Identify violations such as expired meters, unauthorized parking, or safety infractions.
• Record citation data with time, date, location, and vehicle details.
• Maintain detailed enforcement logs.
• Inspect parking meters, gates, and equipment for malfunctions or damage.
• Report issues to management (signs, markings, hazards).
• Monitor conditions across locations or large facilities.
• Provide courteous assistance to customers on parking rules and citations.
• De‑escalate situations; escalate to management when necessary.
• Provide traffic control support as needed.
• Report accidents or safety concerns promptly.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager or security teams when required.
