Job summary

The University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) is seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer to join the Parking and Transportation Program. This pooled position supports enforce/assist on campus, operates enforcement equipment, and assists with events and visitor parking, within a 40-hour work week.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma, at least one year in parking enforcement or related field, and strong customer-service skills.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalency and the competencies to perform the work.
Prior campus environment experience is preferred.
1 year of experience in parking enforcement or closely related field.
Experience staffing events and visitor parking facilities.
Knowledge of parking and traffic regulations, related state laws, and university procedures.
Experience handling parking technology and related equipment (e.g., license plate recognition, mobile devices).

Responsibilities

Enforcing parking rules and regulations fairly and consistently.
Operating and maintaining parking enforcement equipment and related technology.
Patrolling on foot, by vehicle, and by micro mobility as part of a team.
Assisting transportation operations, events, space counts, visitor booth operation, inventory, etc.
