Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Painter to maintain the appearance of 37 residence halls and 400 family apartments, performing interior and exterior painting tasks including scraping, patching, priming, painting and staining.

The full-time permanent SHRA position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid NC driver’s license, and journey-level experience in commercial or institutional painting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeylevel painting experience preferred for commercial/institutional settings.
• Must possess a valid NC Driver’s License or ability to obtain one prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appearance of 37 residence halls and 400 family apartments through interior and exterior painting, scraping, patching, priming and painting/staining.
• Work schedule typically 40 hours per week, with evening variations as needed.
• Commitment to safety and working within occupied university spaces.
