Job summary

Texas Leadership Public Schools in Cedar Hill, TX, is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day school operations and lead the immediate operations team across facilities, transportation, custodial, security, and purchasing. Reports to the District Operations Director and holds exempt status.

Key duties include staff supervision, budgeting, safety training, vendor management, and supporting the opening of new campuses. Immediate start; full-time position.

Qualifications

• Experience in school operations or facility management preferred.
• Ability to supervise multiple departments (maintenance, transportation, custodial, security, purchasing).

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of all support departments to ensure smooth service to students, staff, and vendors.
• Evaluate facilities condition and oversee routine and emergency maintenance.
• Monitor security to maintain a safe school environment.
• Provide feedback and discipline for staff reporting to the Operations Manager.
• Hire campus operations personnel and define duties within existing job descriptions.
• Assist in leave, classification, retirement, or promotion decisions for operations staff.
• Ensure accurate and confidential personnel information.
• Develop and monitor life safety programs and provide training as needed.
• Drive a school bus for district operations as needed.
