Job summary

Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Network & Systems Administrator. This role will oversee the implementation, administration, and monitoring of campus network and server infrastructure.

You will manage backup, disaster recovery, security, and collaborate with IT services units to develop end-to-end solutions. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of equivalent experience, plus five years in network and system administration and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or related field or ten years of professional experience.
• Five years of experience in network administration, system administration, and information security.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, manage, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and monitor campus network and telecommunication systems.
• Implement, configure, manage, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and monitor campus virtualization, server and storage infrastructure and systems.
• Manage network and datacenter security including configuring firewalls, ACLs, IDS/IPS, AD, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
• Develop, manage, maintain, test, and monitor disaster recovery and data backup/restoration for mission critical systems.
