Job summary

Responsibilities

• Monitor student behavior across the campus and enforce school rules related to student conduct, vehicle operation, and parking.
• Resolve conflict or confrontation between students and report disturbances to principal or assistant principal.
• Help control traffic and parking on campus grounds.
• Register student vehicles and maintain accurate records of registration.
• Work cooperatively with campus office personnel to inform students of problems with vehicles (e.g., improperly parked, lights on).
• Notify campus administration and/or campus SRO of any situation requiring immediate attention.
• Give directions or act as a guide to authorized visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all campus matters.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Tools/Equipment Used

Two-way radio Posture: Prolonged sitting; frequent standing/bending/pushing/pulling, and twisting Motion: Continuous walking and standing

Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying moderate weight

Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; be exposed to vehicle exhaust; work outside and be exposed to extreme temperatures and inclement weather; be subject to extreme physical acts of others (i.e., restraining students involved in altercations)

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
