Job summary

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is seeking a Campus Staff Minister in New York to cultivate witnessing communities among students and faculty. You will lead, train, and resource campus teams to engage in gospel-centered ministry across campuses with a focus on diversity and collaborative ministry.

You will work within a national network to recruit partners, raise funds, and develop leaders who will carry out InterVarsity’s mission on college campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for CSMs assigned to a four-year campus.
• A minimum of an Associate’s degree required for CSMs assigned to a two-year campus or a community college.
• Strong interpersonal skills (including ability to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

• Pursue a vibrant relationship with the triune God through Scripture, prayer, and worship.
• Develop self-leadership (growing in self-awareness, self-management, relational integrity, and resiliency).
• Embrace Scriptural standards for behavior and attitudes.
• Lead students and faculty through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship experiences.
• Set annual goals through prayer, research and reflection with teams for growth.
• Build leadership teams who trust and partner well with you.
• Develop and execute plans to achieve annual goals and improve the ministry.
• Mobilize students and faculty to engage relational networks and start new communities.
• Cooperate with national InterVarsity staff and volunteers in ministry.
