InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in Michigan seeks a part-time Student Intern for the West Michigan Area Team (Undergraduate Ministry). The role focuses on learning campus ministry basics, for students enrolled in four-year or community colleges.

Qualifications

• A follower of Jesus Christ seeking to grow in campus ministry.
• Annual affirmation of InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement.
• Developing passion for evangelism.
• Campus ministry leadership qualities: initiative, cross-cultural competence, teamwork and relational maturity.

Responsibilities

• Participate with campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction.
• Contribute to plans for spiritual growth and transformation.
• Teach students to study Scripture and apply it to life.
• Promote the Mission on campus and broaden witness across campuses.
• Learn to guide chapters in strategic witness planning.
• Model love for God’s people of every ethnicity and culture.
• Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students.
• Engage with supervision and training from staff ministry trainer.
• Assist with reporting as assigned.
• Serve as an ambassador to ministry partners and churches.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
