Job summary

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA in Michigan is seeking a part-time student intern focused on learning the basics of college campus ministry while adhering to InterVarsity’s faith commitments. The position emphasizes spiritual growth, leadership development, and witnessing opportunities on campus.

Qualifications

Follower of Jesus Christ
Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement
Developing passion for evangelism
Demonstrates campus ministry leadership qualities such as initiative, self-awareness and cultural awareness, communication, professionalism, eagerness to learn, cross-cultural competence, teamwork, and relational maturity.

Responsibilities

Participate and engage with the campus ministry team to cast spiritual vision and direction
Contribute to the campus ministry team’s plans for spiritual growth and transformation
Teach students to love, study, and apply Scripture to their lives
Promote the Mission on campus and develop strategies for witness to the university
Learn to guide chapters and foster spiritual relationships and diverse communities
Encourage a prayerful lifestyle among students
Work with supervision and training from staff ministry trainer or director
Assist with reporting as assigned
Serve as an ambassador of InterVarsity to ministry partners and churches
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
