Job summary

Archdiocese of Detroit seeks a Campus Ministry Coordinator to lead faith formation and spiritual development for students at Bishop Foley Catholic High School. This part-time, exempt role focuses on retreats, service opportunities, and coordinating faith-based programs under the supervision of the Principal.

You will collaborate with administrators, faculty, and staff to nurture faith-filled servant leaders and ensure a welcoming chapel environment for prayer and worship.

Qualifications

• A Catholic in good standing embracing Catholic teachings.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies or related field.
• Archdiocese of Detroit Catechist Certification or commitment to obtain it.
• Experience with youth, young adults and parish ministry or related field.

Responsibilities

• Foster spiritual growth and faith formation of students and the school community.
• Lead planning, coordination, and administration of student retreats and faith-formation experiences.
• Oversee care, organization, and maintenance of the school chapel for prayer and worship.
• Collaborate with School Administration, Faculty, and Staff to develop faith-filled servant leaders.
• Oversee the student service-hour program: tracking requirements, communicating expectations, coordinating opportunities.
• Develop meaningful service opportunities for students and staff in line with Catholic Social Teaching.
• Coordinate speakers, programs, and educational opportunities related to Catholic Social Teaching and service.
• Participate in school committees and mission-centered programs and events.
