Job summary

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is seeking a Campus Staff Minister in a one- to two-year training role. The position focuses on learning the full responsibilities of campus ministry, with a heavy emphasis on spiritual leadership, team collaboration, and field outreach on university campuses in Massachusetts.

The role includes pastoral care, program planning, and mobilizing student leaders. The candidate should be a discipled follower of Jesus, open to training, and capable of working

Qualifications

• Affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement and Code of Conduct.
• Exploring calling to InterVarsity and its mission.
• Prior campus ministry experience preferred (including as a student).
• Willing to receive training to become a Campus Staff Minister.
• Ability to contribute to an open and supportive relationship with ministry team members.
• Ministry skills: teaching spiritual and biblical principles, planning ministry programs, and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Participate in ministry team to cast vision and provide area leadership.
• Teach students to study Scripture and apply it to life.
• Assist in leading ministry to students and faculty on campus.
• Promote the Mission on campus and engage in gospel proclamation.
• Develop and guide chapters in strategic witness on campus.
• Model love for God's people across cultures and ethnicities.
• Develop leadership within student and faculty ministry teams.
• Encourage prayerful lifestyle among students and faculty.
• Engage with supervision from staff ministry director.
• Provide pastoral care and support for students and leaders.
• Offer training and resources for spiritual development.
• Recruit students and faculty for conferences and projects.
