Marshall University is seeking a Mental Health Specialist to provide direct counseling and mental health services to students through the Counseling Center. The role emphasizes emotional well-being, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and timely documentation.

The specialist will ensure referrals, participate in outreach, supervision, and performance improvement activities to uphold best practices in university mental health care.

Formación

• Master's degree in clinical human services related field (psychology, social work, or counseling).
• At least 2 years of clinical counseling and crisis intervention experience.
• Must be license eligible by WV boards (counseling, psychology, or social work).

Responsabilidades

• Conduct client intake interviews and administer screening tools.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide counseling addressing mood, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, substance use, identity, and adjustment issues.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation within 48 hours.
• Participate in 24-hour on-call crisis coverage on campus or in hospitals.
