Job summary

Auburn University at Montgomery is seeking a Materials Handler/Laborer to support campus operations. The role involves loading, unloading, transporting materials, setting up rooms for events, and performing routine maintenance and repairs on facilities equipment.

You will work with internal and external customers, operate moving equipment, and ensure secure handling of goods. A valid driver's license and a high school diploma are required.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport materials (lab/office equipment, furniture, files)
• Operate and maintain trucks and equipment used for moving
• Arrange and set up rooms for functions
• Maintain security of goods during moves
• Schedule and fulfill surplus pickups and deliveries
• Retrieve campus mail from USPS and deliver to mailroom
• Perform maintenance on campus systems and fixtures
• Assist with trade repairs in campus buildings
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on facility systems
• General maintenance and clean-up tasks as assigned
• Work with internal and external customers
• Complete work orders promptly and follow schedules
• Other duties as assigned
