Job summary

Lone Star College-Tomball is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform beginner-level maintenance, repairs, and installations on campus buildings, equipment, and systems. This role supports the daily operations by ensuring a safe, functional environment for students and staff.

Responsibilities include inspections, responding to work orders, carpentry and drywall tasks, and maintaining records. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid Texas driver's license; on-site work

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Valid Texas driver's license and insurance eligibility required.
Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform labor-intensive maintenance.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections of buildings, classrooms, offices, and common areas.
Respond to maintenance requests and work orders promptly.
Assist in carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
Maintain and repair doors and windows.
Collaborate with staff to complete projects and repairs.
Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Ensure compliance with safety and Property Services expectations.
Provide emergency on-call support as required.
Other related duties as assigned.
