Job summary

The Episcopal Academy seeks a dependable maintenance professional to join our campus team. The role covers painting, carpentry, drywall, plumbing, electrical tasks and routine servicing of HVAC systems, with minor repairs and event support.

On-call snow removal is required during winter, and safety compliance is essential. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, solid tool knowledge, strong troubleshooting, and the stamina to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of tools, equipment, and common maintenance systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Physically able to kneel, climb, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Clean driving record and ability to meet state and federal driving requirements.
• Ability to successfully complete required state and federal clearances.
• Reliable, safety-minded, and able to respond to on-call needs and emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks such as painting, light carpentry, drywall repair, and basic plumbing and electrical work.
• Maintain and service heating, cooling, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Complete minor repairs (locks, fixtures, hardware, etc.).
• Support coworkers, contractors, and campus partners as needed.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown for campus programs and special events.
• Follow all safety regulations and policies.
• Assist with snow removal, including shoveling, salting, sanding, and operating snow removal vehicles and equipment (requires 24-hour on-call availability during inclement weather).
