Job summary

Bucks County Community College is seeking a dependable Maintenance II to support daily campus upkeep at the Newtown Campus. The role covers painting, carpentry, drywall, roofing, and related tasks to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for students and staff.

The position requires several maintenance licenses and several years of hands-on experience, with a 1st shift schedule and competitive hourly pay. Benefits are included and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Three relevant maintenance licenses are required.
• At least five years of maintenance experience in relevant areas.
• Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions.
• Demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Experience with aerial lifts and related licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance work orders independently and report to campus staff.
• Troubleshoot and repair routine and emergency building issues.
• Assist with maintenance and construction projects across trades.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently.
• Use aerial lifts, forklifts, and other equipment safely.
• Respond to storm-related needs and campus outages.
• Carry out related duties as directed.
