Job summary

Oklahoma State University-Stillwater is seeking a Maintenance Technician to supervise general and preventive work on electrical and plumbing systems across campus. You will schedule work orders, train crew members, and ensure timely, safe completion of tasks for students, staff, and visitors.

The role requires strong teamwork, safety focus, and experience with CMMS and Microsoft Office tools. Overtime may be required and benefits are provided by OSU.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent required, degree conferred by start date.
• Four years of work experience in the job duties, with three in a building trade, OR two years post-secondary in building trades/tech field with two years related experience.
• Must work safely and promote a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform general and preventive maintenance, repairs, and renovations within guidelines.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical and plumbing systems; replace filters, lights, and ceiling tiles.
• Assist with research and purchasing of tools and equipment; schedule and assign work orders.
• Inspect crew maintenance operations and provide training on procedures while maintaining performance standards.
• Ensure staff are professional and provide excellent customer service to students, staff, faculty, and visitors.
• Be prepared for overtime, hazardous conditions, and physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
