College of St. Scholastica Inc. in Duluth, MN is seeking a General Maintenance Janitor. The role provides onsite maintenance to all campus facilities, and sets up spaces for events.

Shifts are Sunday through Thursday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Starting pay is $21.46 per hour. The job requires lifting up to 75 lbs, operating floorcare equipment, and assisting Grounds with snow removal in winter.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate floorcare machinery, shovel and snow blower.
• Must qualify for the Local 70 labor union after 30 days of employment.
• Good attendance is required.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Employment for this position is contingent upon the results of a background check.

Responsibilities

• To perform all work requests as assigned by Facilities Services.
• Provide hard floor care, and carpeted areas as directed.
• Empty trash and recycling as needed.
• Perform event set-ups as requested.
• Maintain all building entrances throughout each season.
• Observe and practice safe work habits.
