Job summary

Liberty University is seeking a Postal Services Assistant to support mail and package operations across campus. You will train others, assist with routes, and operate the meter and SCLogic system, ensuring accurate sorting, delivery, and customer service.

This role requires knowledge of USPS/UPS/FedEx procedures, cash handling, and safe operation of vehicles up to 100 pounds. You’ll work indoors and outdoors, in all weather, across 100+ departments.

Qualifications

• Requires working knowledge of Windows OS.
• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word.
• Ability to learn SCLogic Management Software quickly.
• Familiarity with USPS, UPS and FedEx procedures preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Sort incoming mail and packages for 100+ departments.
• Plan efficient routes based on daily load.
• Use software to scan and log deliveries.
• Load and move packages with carts and vehicles.
• Safely operate LU vehicles from cars to vans/trucks.
• Make daily trips to USPS facilities as needed.
• Provide accurate postal information to campus customers.
• Handle cash, checks, and card payments via POS.
• Reroute misaddressed mail and coordinate with carriers.
