Job summary

Liberty University is seeking a Postal Specialist to support on-site postal services at Green Hall and the Student facilities in Lynchburg, VA. The role includes sorting mail, planning routes, operating shipping software, and handling outgoing packages with training in USPS, UPS, and FedEx procedures.

Expect to train across all postal duties, assist in cashiering, and ensure accurate postage and dispatch of items for multiple departments daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in operating vehicles of different sizes up to box trucks is preferred.
• Working knowledge of USPS, UPS, and FedEx policies and procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Properly sort incoming mail and packages for 100+ departments.
• Plan efficient routes for daily delivery load.
• Use SCLogic to scan, sort, and enter delivery information.
• Deliver, pick up, and balance cash drawer daily.
• Operate meter machine and apply postage.
• Train in all Postal Services duties as needed.
• Provide accurate shipping quotes based on carrier, time, size, weight, and destination.
• Support student and faculty mail facilities during peak periods.
