Job summary

Upper Crust Food Service is seeking a motivated cook to support campus dining programs. You will set up stations, prep ingredients, and ensure dishes are plated attractively and served promptly.

Applicants should have 2+ years in food service, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen. Certification in food safety or willingness to obtain one within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of food service experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort working with a variety of personalities under pressure.
• Food safety handler and sanitation certification, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• Bulk food prep experience in a commercial kitchen setting a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations and prep ingredients for service
• Dress and finish dishes before they go out
• Portion and serve food to residents
• Enforce food safety and sanitation standards per state and local regulations
• Help unload, inspect, and store raw ingredients and supplies
• Plan and execute special events as directed by management
• Communicate regularly with management by phone, email, and text
