Job summary

City College of San Francisco seeks one or more Temporarily-Exempt, as-needed Lifeguards for its aquatic facilities. Under the Aquatics Coordinator, you ensure student and pool-user safety, enforce rules, and respond to emergencies with CPR/First Aid.

This on-site role requires ability to perform water rescues, maintain cleanliness, monitor showers and locker rooms, and prepare the pool for classes and events.

Qualifications

• Lifeguarding issued by a recognized certifying body.
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor pool activities to prevent accidents and identify distress.
• Conduct rescue operations and provide first aid when necessary.
• Enforce pool rules and maintain safety in and around the pool.
• Maintain pool area, equipment, and water quality samples as needed.
• Prepare facility for aquatic events and manage guest check-in.
