Under the lead work direction of the Communications and Program Specialist, and general supervision of the Associate Vice President for Campus Life, the Campus Life Events Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and producing professional education projects and special events, including the annual “Arrive to the Hive” student engagement events and other Campus Life related programming. The Coordinator plans, executes, and coordinates multiple events simultaneously at varying stages, ensuring high quality and excellent customer service. The Coordinator works closely with internal and external service providers to develop clear event specifications, contracts, and standards of service, monitors progress toward agreed objectives, ensures costs stay within budget, and maintains regular communication with the Communications and Program Specialist.
• Plan, develop, and execute large‑scale campus events from concept through post‑event evaluation.
• Coordinate multiple events simultaneously at different stages of planning.
• Maintain and strengthen client relationships, providing professional service and client liaison.
• Negotiate contracts and specifications with vendors, monitor performance, and manage budgets.
• Provide detailed reporting and analysis of event outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience substituting education one‑to‑one year.
• Advanced degree in a related field may be considered on a year‑for‑year basis.
