The Director oversees strategy, budgeting, and accountability while fostering innovation and excellent customer service on campus. The role requires MLS/MLIS (ALA-accredited), a terminal doctoral degree, and substantial health sciences library experience.

Qualifications

• MLS/MLIS or equivalent from an ALA-accredited program is required.
• Terminal doctoral degree in a related discipline is required.
• Experience in health sciences education libraries is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for staff at University Libraries across campuses.
• Develop library strategy, budgets, and service standards.
• Recruit, train, and supervise library staff and student workers.
• Oversee library instruction, research support, and interlibrary loan.
• Lead digital resources management and collections development.
• Advance outreach, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
