Job summary

A.T. Still University on the Kirksville campus seeks a full-time Campus Library Head/Assistant University Library Director to oversee the Missouri Branch of the A.T. Still Memorial Library, supporting the KCOM, MOSDOH and CGHS.

The role leads six staff, manages services for three schools, participates in strategic planning and budget, collaborates with faculty, and directs outreach, assessment, and professional development in an evidence-based health sciences library.

Qualifications

• MLS or equivalent is required.
• Five years experience in an academic or medical library.
• Supervision experience preferred (1–2 years).
• Advanced searching skills in PubMed, CINAHL.

Responsibilities

• Leads staff in providing library services for three schools (DO, dental, online health sciences) across Kirksville and St. Louis.
• Serves as library liaison for colleges on the Missouri Campus.
• Provides instructional support for evidence-based clinical practice and supports faculty research.
• Assists in strategic planning, budget development, and program direction.
• Oversees daily operations of a 22,000 sq ft library branch and a six-person team.
• Leads outreach to faculty, staff, and students and participates in committees and professional organizations.
• Prepares and manages the campus library budget.
