Job summary

St Thomas University is seeking a Dean of STU Libraries to provide strategic leadership across the University Library, Law Library, and Collection Management. The role ensures consistent service, equitable access to resources, and alignment with academic goals while managing budget and accreditation compliance.

Qualifications

• M.L.S. from an A.L.A.-accredited library school required.
• Academic library leadership experience preferred.
• J.D. from ABA-accredited institution required if the University Librarian also serves as Director of the Law Library.
• Three+ years of supervisory experience in a library setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and leadership for STU Libraries and related units.
• Oversee library services, digital resources, and facilities to support students and faculty.
• Ensure accreditation readiness with agencies such as SACS, ABA, IPEDS.

M.L.S. from an A.L.A.-accredited library school
