Job summary

USF Shimberg Library in Tampa, FL seeks a part-time Student Assistant under the FWS program to support daily library operations and user services.

Responsibilities include retrieving, shifting and shelving books, assisting patrons, monitoring doors, helping with interlibrary loan tasks, and supporting study-room management. Strong customer service and clear communication are essential in person, by phone, and electronically.

• Must be comfortable communicating in person, by phone and electronically.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve, shift, and shelve books in correct order.
• Lift, rearrange, and move furniture and supplies.
• Monitor doors to assist patrons entering.
• Assist with interlibrary loan processes and ILL staff.
• Charge and discharge library materials for patrons.
• Help monitor, approve and check out study rooms.
• Help library staff with projects and events.
• Assist with other duties as needed.
