Job summary

Primer is a growing network of K–8 schools restoring the timeless foundations of American education. You run a Primer campus and you teach in it, leading a cohort through reading, writing, and math while keeping the building running. You’re the quarterback of your classroom and the primary contact families rely on.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or higher.
• 3+ years teaching or leading K–8 kids; real classroom experience.
• Strong communication with kids, families, and teammates.
• Ability to create a calm, structured, positive room.
• Organizational skills to keep routines running.
• Comfort using technology to teach and track progress.
• Good judgment when things move fast.
• Collaborative and proactive problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily lessons in reading, writing, and math for K–2 in groups and K–8 with literacy and digital math coaching.
• Run campus operations, scheduling, substitute coverage, and aftercare.
• Lead daily staff check-ins and weekly team communication.
• Build trusting relationships with families and lead conferences.
• Ensure safety and maintain a well‑organized campus environment.
• Partner with Primer HQ to implement effective systems.
