Job summary

Primer is seeking a campus leader to run a K–8 Primer campus, teaching within the building and ensuring daily operations run smoothly. You will lead a cohort of students in reading, writing, and math, and be the go-to person for families seeking support and information.

You will manage scheduling, substitute coverage, and aftercare while partnering with Primer HQ to implement effective systems. A Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years in K–8 education is required, with a focus on intentional

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Minimum 3+ years teaching or leading K–8 students, in any role.
• Excellent communication with kids, families and teammates.
• Ability to create a calm, structured, positive classroom.
• Strong organizational skills to keep routines running smoothly.
• Comfort using technology to teach and track progress.
• Good judgment under fast-moving situations.
• Collaborative mindset and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Teach reading, writing, and math to K–8 students; adapt instruction as needed.
• Run campus operations, scheduling, substitutes, and aftercare.
• Lead family conferences and maintain clear family communication.
• Build trusted relationships with families and the local community.
