Job summary

Aramark, operating the McAlister’s campus location at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS, seeks a Lead Team Member. You will assist with food prep, portioning, and serving, guided by the manager, and learn on the job while building connections with customers.

Lead the line, ensure proper portions, safety, and cleanliness, and support opening/closing tasks as well as events. The role emphasizes teamwork and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Serve Safe Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Requires frequent lifting and carrying heavy items.
• Comfort with working in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of food preparation and dating items for the day.
• Set up and break down stations as directed by the manager.
• Cook and prepare foods according to recipes and directions.
• Ensure accurate portions when preparing and serving.
• Maintain daily temperature logs and sample items for quality checks.
• Assist with opening and closing station checklists and customer service.
• Greet customers and handle feedback with a positive attitude.
• Keep work areas clean and sanitized, and manage waste disposal.
• Coordinate with team to maintain smooth service during events.
