Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services seeks immediate hire for full-time and part-time dishwasher positions in Spring Arbor, MI. Pay ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour, with schedules including 8:00 am–4:30 pm (full-time) and 9:00 am–2:30 pm (part-time). Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.

Location: Spring Arbor College. Applications accepted online only; ongoing until all openings are filled.

Qualifications

• Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or uses the dishwashing machine, ensuring cleanliness.
• Washes pots, pans and trays and ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polishes silver using appropriate methods and maintains sanitation.
• Maintains compliance with safety procedures.
• Keeps dish area in safe, organized condition and monitors temperatures and chemical levels.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to meet safety standards.
• Cleans worktables, walls, refrigerators and prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and handles waste disposal.
• Transports supplies between storage and work areas; assists with loading/unloading.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
