Aims Community College seeks an experienced Grounds Specialist to manage irrigation systems and campus landscapes across multiple sites. This role ensures efficient water distribution, system reliability, and high-quality grounds maintenance for the Greeley and affiliated campuses.

Responsibilities include irrigation scheduling, preventative maintenance, equipment operation, and landscape project work using AutoCAD. A strong safety record and ability to read plans are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in grounds maintenance or related field; two years in irrigation systems.
• Safety certifications for forklift and skid loader.
• Ability to read plans and sketches.
• Ability to operate tractors and grounds equipment.
• Pre-employment physical and valid driver’s license/MVR.
• Must be insurable and able to operate a company vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Oversee all phases of campus irrigation systems and schedules.
• Monitor, repair, and adjust irrigation components across acres.
• Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, backflows, and irrigation clocks/equipment.
• Repair underground irrigation lines up to 8 inches in diameter.
• Inventory and replace irrigation parts as needed.
• Maintain grounds through pruning, fertilizing, and debris removal.
• Snow and ice removal for parking lots and walkways.
• Design and install landscape projects using AutoCAD and fieldwork.
• Operate grounds equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to safety, background checks, and post-offer requirements.
