Job summary

Aims Community College in Greeley, CO is seeking an Irrigation Specialist to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a 100-acre irrigation system on the Greeley Campus. You will schedule irrigation via linked controllers, inspect and repair components, perform biannual winterization and spring start-up, and coordinate with grounds staff to keep turf, trees and shrubs healthy.

Five years in grounds/irrigation required; associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in grounds maintenance or related field.
• Two years knowledge installing, maintaining and repairing irrigation systems.
• Associate degree preferred; knowledge of irrigation controls and pumps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain ~100 acres of irrigated landscape at the Greeley Campus.
• Schedule sprinkler operation and monitor system performance 24/7.
• Repair underground lines up to 8 inches and service valves.
• Perform winterization and spring start-up of irrigation lines and pumps.
• Assist with general grounds work including pruning and fertilizing.
• Operate grounds equipment and support landscape projects.
